Flowing - Abstract - by artist ~ANTFlowing

by ~ANT

I painted Flowing before I decided to become an artist. I had been having a rough time at work and felt I needed an escape.

My escape was found in an old pool table in the back yard that was beyond using or giving away. After hitting it with a sledge hammer, I had some cool chunks of slate left over.

Using old paint that was just waiting to be used, I pushed colors around on the slate with a palette knife. While painting this piece I listened to the song “Flowing”, off of the 311 album “Soundsystem”, over and over and over. I named this painting after the tune.

This painting helped me decide to become an artist.
